About Snow

We put AI servers on farms.

Snow builds AI pods: shipping containers full of GPU servers. Each one sits on an Icelandic farm, next to a greenhouse. The servers run on Iceland's clean power, and their heat warms the crops.

The farm is paid for the land and the heat. Companies get GPUs that are theirs alone, with their data kept in the EEA. We think AI should run close to the people it serves, on land they share in.

What we believe

Heat is a crop.

Every server makes heat. We grow food with it instead of blowing it into the sky.

Farms come first.

A pod costs the farm nothing. The farmer keeps the land, the heat and the rent.

Open by default.

We publish our designs and our maths, so anyone can check them or build their own.

How it started

  1. Snow starts with Harvest: an open map of where AI's chips, power and money come from, and a first set of articles about it.

  2. We publish the designs for two pods, the AI Pod (40 ft) and the AI Pod XS (20 ft), with every part and every cost in the open.

  3. A farm in region withheld agrees to host the first AI Pod XS beside its greenhouse. With name withheld, we confirm the fibre route and where the pod will stand.

  4. Name withheld prices the transformer that will feed the first pod.

  5. The first pod is switched on, and its heat goes into the greenhouse.
